I have been seeing a lot of negative press recently on TVI Express, so I thought I would dig deeper and provide honest review of TVI. I am in no way affiliated with TVI Express, nor have I ever been so. This review will be completely unbiased.
I have spoken with some people who were in TVI to get their “inside” opinion, while doing my research as well as just reading other blogs, forum posts, and reviews.
The feeling that I got from speaking with a few members (or former members as they like to call themselves) is that nobody is cycling in TVI and the boards are stagnant. My reaction to this is that this is going to be the case with any program, particularly a 2×3 matrix program, where people are required to sponsor other members in order to cycle their boards and make the “big money”. The honest fact in network marketing is that the vast majority of people join a business with the best of intentions but…
- They do not know how to effectively market their business
- They do not have the time or desire to work their business
- They do not have the funds or do not want to spend money to advertise
It’s unfortunate that this is the case but it is true. For this reason, I do not ever consider an MLM to be a scam just because the majority of members do not earn any money because this is the case with every MLM in existence.
Now, there are a few issues that do point to TVI as being, how should I say…not completely on the level:
- The initial marketing stated that you would receive a 6 day/7 night luxury vacation voucher just for signing up. Well, to date, nobody has been able to redeem their voucher. I believe that they are now telling members that the vouchers will be redeemable beginning 4/1/10. We’ll see, I guess!
- It seems to be a mystery who the owners of TVI are and where the business is actually headquartered. At first, it was said to be headquartered in the UK, but is becoming more apparent that it is probably based in either Cyprus or India. Why not just be upfront from the start? And, why not tell the world that you are the owner of a business that supposedly has 400,000 members? I would be proud!
- No customer service. I have heard and read about members sending emails to support at TVI and receiving no response. In fact, I have not heard from one member who has ever received a response!
- Major marketers are leaving TVI in droves…marketers like Kelly Williams. These are the people who were making money so the fact that they are leaving sends up a red flag for me.
Now…I certainly do not know for sure if TVI is really a scam or just a mis-managed business. There are people making money. The business model is sound and the matrix will generate commissions for those who understand that they need to recruit many more than “just their 2″ to make decent money. My advice, as with any business, is to do your due diligence and make sure you get all of your questions answered before joining.
